Sleepy Hollow has just one more episode before it takes a break for the Christmas season. We’re promised an epic mid-season finale, but how was the episode leading up to it? by Robbie Jones There are only two episodes left of The Walking Dead this year, but before that, we take a look at Daryl and Carol’s quest to save Beth. by Graham Osborne Rejoice everyone, for it is Empire Day in our glorious galaxy! A time where one and all remember Emperor Palpatine’s victory during the Clone Wars and the defeat of the Jedi scum! At least that’s what the official story is in this week’s episode, the first in a two parter. by Robbie Jones Homeland is only on the up and up, following half a season of pure mediocrity. This week’s episode was perhaps the best so far, but first, let’s talk about the strange titling of the episodes in Season Four. by Helen Langdon On 17th November, just in time for Christmas, series five of Emmy-nominated Downton Abbey will be released on Blu-ray and DVD. The show is beloved by critics and audiences alike (having garnered 51 Primetime Emmy nominations for its first four series, amongst other accolades). This boxset will feature all eight episodes, along with an exclusive documentary and special behind-the-scenes featurettes. by Gemma Williams It’s been a sad year for the Trubies who have had to say farewell to one their favourite shows as True Blood wrapped up its show in its seventh season. There was a mixture of emotions to the end but one thing everyone can agree on was that it was a heart-breaking finale. Thankfully, just because the series has ended, it doesn’t mean the fandom has finished too as we bring to you some extra goodies to celebrate the release of the final season on DVD and blu-ray! by Julia Lawson Jiminy Cricket! After two hours of intense ONCE storytelling, you most certainly are entitled to demand tea, biscuits and a trip to the Ice Queen Parlour (or the freezer.. your call). The double episode threw us around Arendelle, The Enchanted Forest, The Snow Queen’s lair, Storybrooke and back again so many times that there is a high risk of whiplash, and potential frostbite. Buckle down and let’s revisit the big events. by Helen Langdon The second season of any TV show leads to difficult choices. Do you continue doing what made the first season so successful? If the show is already ridiculous, do you push that even further? Or do you make things more serious, going down the grim and dark route? That last one is what the creators of Atlantis have chosen to do for their second series, although in places it’s still the ridiculously campy and fun Saturday night entertainment we fell in love with. by Graham Osborne This week’s Constantine takes a storyline directly from the comics as an old friend of Constantine’s arrives. The direct link between the events of the comics and this episode makes it stronger, but there’s still plenty of room for improvement. by Graham Osborne The Force has finally smiled down upon us! This week’s episode of Star Wars Rebels takes a break from the more traditional team up of Ezra, Jarrus and Zeb to take a look at two of the more ignored characters, Hera and Sabine. Despite the focus on other characters, the show still manages to keep the tensely paced and enjoyable action sequences that the show has enjoyed so far. |
