It's been a week since you voted for the next TV series for the I'm With Geek TV Team to watch next. But how have they got on so far? Read on to find out! by The I'm With Geek TV Team Another year has come and gone, and with it some fantastic TV series. Join the IWG TV Team as they pick their favourites of the past 365 days! by Graham Osborne Fargo has come to an end. But fear not, noble reader, the series finale managed to tie everything up in a neat little bow. A bow made of twists, turns and that little knot to hold it all together, wrapped around the present of suspense for the gift of viewing for you to open and enjoy with your eyes of wonderment… Where was I going with this again? by Graham Osborne It’s the penultimate episode of Fargo this week, and, oh boy, is it a doozy! Maintaining the time-skip from the previous episode, we’re given some more depth to the events of the last year for each of the characters, particularly the adventures of Malvo and Lester. by Graham Osborne It’s a new episode of Fargo, the story of one man, his love of a washing machine, and the community who were trying to keep them apart. The opening scene showing Lester receiving his new washing machine is indicative of a turning point in his life. A new washing machine, a new lease of life, so to speak. by Graham Osborne Fargo toes the line of outright absurdity and humdrum normality, whilst the former is more pronounced, the latter helps to keep things flowing along and make the more absurd feel all the stranger. by Graham Osborne Following from last week’s rather tame episode, Fargo forgoes the metaphorical frying pan, in favour of throwing everything straight into the fire to heighten the tension. Not unlike the fish in the opening scene. by Graham Osborne This week’s episode of Fargo was a fairly lacklustre affair, especially coming straight after last week’s cliffhanger ending. Despite being a weaker episode, the onus of this week was to deliver some much-needed exposition to the plot. by Graham Osborne It is honestly getting harder and harder to write these reviews. There’s only so many ways you can gush over a TV series without repeating oneself. That being said, this episode of Fargo was (yet again) a fantastic tale of intrigue, blackmail and arrests. |
