The fate of minor characters has long been a question for Supernatural fans. Of all the characters we have encountered though, it is perhaps the fates of Adam Milligan and the Novak family that has most intrigued the fandom. Adam, the Winchesters’ half-brother, was left to rot in hell several seasons ago, with no apparent plans to rescue him. Likewise, Jimmy Novak was confirmed to have ended up in heaven after his body was blown to pieces during one of Castiel’s many deaths. However, it wasn’t until this season that we learnt what had become of his daughter, Claire, and the disappearance of his wife, Amelia.

The on-going theme in Outlander is the rivalry between Scotland and England for very obvious reasons. Set in the 1700s, the show surrounds the invasions and subsequent wars that go much further than a painted Mel Gibson screaming about freedom as his knackers blow in the wind. I’m not going to protest and shout as though I know everything about the rich tapestry of this land (though, I must urge you that I should, and so should you,) but I do believe that Outlander takes a rather fenced view - like the team are sitting on Hadrian’s Wall failing to pick sides. Because in Outlander, whilst everyone knows that Scotland is the least grotty of the scrotum sacks, both parties do a lot of terrible things here.

Who knew zombie dating could be so hard, huh? One minute you’re attracted to a girl named Liv, the next minute you’ve chomped down the brains of a recently deceased gay man and are no longer feeling it. While it put a pin in Liv and Lowell’s potential romance, it certainly allowed them a chance to develop a friendship and party on down together. (Does anyone say ‘party on down, anymore? They should.)

As long as Community continues to air, I will watch it, despite the lacklustre plots that have been plaguing this season. I’ll continue (to watch) in the hopes that maybe, someday, they’ll rekindle the spark they once had. Sadly, with each new episode, that hope fades a little more.

It was a very mixed bag this week on Game of Thrones... A VERY mixed bag. At times, it was great and at others, not so much. There some ethical issues raised in this episode, the best performance ever given by one cast member, the worst performance ever given by another, and a new plotline that strays from the books and is frankly a little bit stupid. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

After last week’s episode, ‘Beasts of Prey’ and even after Gotham has taken over a month out, sadly the show is still the same old drab it has always been. Yes, drab maybe a pretty harsh word it use, and thus a word one would ordinarily try to refrain from using in the same context as Batman; but this week's, Under the Knife offers us nothing we haven’t seen way back since episode one.

ONCE starts to pick up the pace in preparation for the final three episodes of Season Four, which has seen us journey to the Frozen Arendelle, New York, the fairytale ocean and a realm permanently in the 1920s. The relationship between Emma and Lily is renewed in the present day, illustrating the impact of the Author’s meddling.

Atlantis is getting bleak this week. Remember back at the start of the season, when the Oracle predicted dire things lay ahead for Jason if he found out his true parentage? He might find out at the end of “The Gorgon’s Gaze”, but he starts turning to the dark side a bit before that. Medusa still can't escape her guilt over killing the Oracle to escape her curse, and so to make amends, she makes a life-changing decision.

Over here in the UK things are getting a bit heated in the political world. I won’t get caught up talking about who is or isn’t racist, useless, posh or a hippy, but more emphasise what E4 are emphasising - how important it is to vote. |
