Sherlock Series Three is coming New Years Day. If you haven’t kept with the fantastic and innovative series then some big questions are being answered. As the resident fan of the series, the anticipation is high. We have been on the edge of our seats for two years and the wait is nearly over, we can all rejoice and stop racking our brains for an answer; safe in the knowledge that creators Mark Gatiss and Stephen Moffat have made a great conclusion (insert muffled sob and laugh combination. But for those who haven’t repeatedly watched Sherlock every day, here is a rundown of the characters you need to know about for Season 3.

By Robbie Jones David Walliams is surely one of the funniest people working in Britain today. He is a fantastic writer and actor, and his charity work is very admirable. Everyone knows him best for his work with Matt Lucas (Little Britain, Come Fly with me etc.) and his turn as judge on reality show Britain’s Got Talent, featuring his hilarious bromance with Simon Cowell. However, in the past few years, Walliams has proved himself to be a very talented author, having released 6 books for children. The 4th of these, Gangsta Granny, was recently made into a film and aired this Boxing Day. And I have to say, it was rather good! by Cookie 'N' Screen (Those who observe, rather than see, have deduced that this article may contain spoilers. If you want to keep Sherlock under lock and key until Wednesday, please don’t read on.) In roughly five days, three hours, and thirty minutes, we will all be revelling in a brand new Sherlock Episode. We have waited so long to find out exactly how he survived falling off the hospital roof, how Watson will react to knowing his best friend deceived them and Sherlock getting used to a London that has spent two years moving on from him. With so many answers left dangling in the air and so much excitement and anticipation, coursing through our veins, it is safe to say that the next five days are going to be wrought and joyful. But luckily, while we wait, we have seven minutes of Sherlock goodness to paw over as the BBC released a mini-episode on Christmas Eve. By Leah Stone For many, Christmas is a time for happiness. For laughter for giving and for having fun. Until you get to the evening (at least for Whovians, anyway). As, Christmas usually signals the regeneration of The Doctor. Perhaps the BBC think that Christmas is a good time, to give the present of a new Doctor. However, others would argue that they are taking more than giving as you are sat there in tears when the regeneration process starts. This year, we lost Matt Smith, the Eleventh Doctor who had a soft spot for bow ties, fezzes and fish fingers with custard, and introduced Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor. By Gemma Williams It has been revealed that the Vampire Diaries will be adding another new character this season: Luke. Although he has not yet been cast as far as we know, it has been released that he will become close to Caroline, but probably not in the way that you think. By Leah Stone I was given the challenge to come up with my “Dream Team” for Doctor Who, just a fun thing to write about gearing up for the Christmas special and the departure of Matt Smith. After a lot of soul searching I think I've found the perfect match up for who should play whom. By Robbie Jones Well here we are folks. The end of Season 3. It’s been a bit up and down, but I will not waste any time in this review moaning, not until later on at least. Because right now, I have nothing but good things to say about this majestic finale. Let’s get on with it. By Gemma Williams The Family Guy episode that aired Sunday 15th December has given its viewers an early Christmas present. In the episode, the Griffins want to go to the Christmas Carnival that is held in their local mall every year, only to find out that Lois’ father has banned it. After some odd attempts by Peter to make him love Christmas, he decides to let the Carnival happen. Thank you Peter; I know you did this for Stewie but the viewers benefited from this also. By Callum Armour This weeks episode Arrow is the first of a two parter which fans have been waiting for since it was announced way back in the summer, the arrival of Barry Allen before his own spin off show as The Flash. However, incorporating The Flash into the Arrow universe presents its own challenges. Arrow is definitely a child of The Dark Knight in its style and emphasis on realism. We are now midway through the second season and the idea of super powers has never even been addressed. Something that obviously needs to happen in order for this crossover to occur. We've had a few hints over the past couple of episodes but now it's time to see how well they do at adding powers into the world. |
