When we’re not watching the gripping adventures of Carrie, Brody, Saul and Quinn, we’re forced to sit through the menial lives of Brody’s family. Jessica is the struggling wife who we sympathise with, and Dana has had her fair share of drama over the first three seasons. But there was just one character who never got a look in.... and for good reason too.

But there was just one character who never got a look in.... and for good reason too. by Robbie Jones Well ladies and gents, here we are. It’s the Season Four finale of Homeland, the show that pulled a massive U-turn and went from one of the worst shows on TV to one of the best halfway through the season. These past few weeks have been exciting, nerve-wracking and filled with possibilities. Now, it all comes to an end for another year. We will take a look back Season Four later on, but first let’s discuss the last of Homeland we’ll see until September. Nothing happened. by Robbie Jones Somewhat of a slow burner this week on Homeland, especially compared to last week’s stunning episode, but it all resulted in a tense climax with a shocking twist that’s left us reeling in anticipation for next week’s finale. by Robbie Jones It’s been an agonising two week wait since the terrifying cliff-hanger of episode nine, and did it pay off? Abso-fucking-lutely! by Graham Osborne As we approach the end of Season Four, Homeland continues its Two and a Half Men-esque trend of naming episodes after random quotes from the episode, but this week also continue its trend of being an outstanding TV show, as tensions run high and it leaves us with a terrifying cliff-hanger. Exciting stuff! by Robbie Jones Homeland is only on the up and up, following half a season of pure mediocrity. This week’s episode was perhaps the best so far, but first, let’s talk about the strange titling of the episodes in Season Four. by Robbie Jones For its first five episodes, Homeland Season Four was one of the worst shows on TV. But last week, it turned things around and delivered a smashing episode, which had hopefully promised a continuing increase in quality. This week wasn’t quite as good, however it did contain knock out performances, trippy sequences and a nice cameo. by Robbie Jones Warning: Spoilers for Seasons One to Three Homeland is a show that nobody could’ve predicted the success of. It became a smash hit when it started, and rightfully so. But the show has gone very downhill, following a third season that left a bad taste in many fans’ mouths. However, despite all its flaws, Season Three had a perfect ending, an ending that perhaps could’ve ended the entire show had Season Four not already been commissioned. The whole show relied on both Carrie and Brody, and with Brody now dead, carrying on just seems a little pointless. But, hope may not be lost just yet as the first teaser for Season Four has been released, and it doesn’t look too bad. By Leah Stone Last year was a great year for TV. We saw the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, the introduction of some great shows, like Hannibal and Broadchurch, and the end of others, such as Dexter. Now, we can look towards an equally awesome year for TV in 2014. So I decided I would take a look at the pencilled plans for 2014 and give you my top 5 shows to watch. |
