Homeland is a show that nobody could’ve predicted the success of. It became a smash hit when it started, and rightfully so. But the show has gone very downhill, following a third season that left a bad taste in many fans’ mouths. However, despite all its flaws, Season Three had a perfect ending, an ending that perhaps could’ve ended the entire show had Season Four not already been commissioned. The whole show relied on both Carrie and Brody, and with Brody now dead, carrying on just seems a little pointless. But, hope may not be lost just yet as the first teaser for Season Four has been released, and it doesn’t look too bad.

But, hope may not be lost just yet as the first teaser for Season Four has been released, and it doesn’t look too bad.
As we found out at the end of Season Three, Carrie has been relocated to Pakistan. In the teaser, we see the drama is about to heat up, with fire fights in the streets, bombings and once again more stress between Carrie and her co-workers. It looks as though several devastating events occur, as we see a destroyed building with a young man covering up bodies, and a group of women smiling as a random explosion happens. It makes sense for the area they’re in, and after an appalling third season, they need to inject some more life into the show. Hopefully this season will give Quinn even more of a chance to be the badass he is, as it seems he’s gone to Pakistan with Carrie, unless those scenes take place before she leaves, as another shot shows him gripping Dar Adal, but either way, he’ll find his way there, as the shot towards the end of him shooting a Pakistani protester in the head proves.
Homeland is a dying show, and will probably be cancelled at the end of this season or the next one. It’s a shame, but it’s a show that simply ran itself into the ground and made it impossible to carry on for too long. But despite it’s inevitable fate, let’s just hope Season Four is better than the last
