Last week left us with a plot twist that would make many an avid watcher of the series extremely angry. This plot twist? Agent May seems to be in on some secret plan with someone, having set up an unapproved phone line connected to someone not revealed to us. Is she under Director Fury’s command, or worse, under the control of the Clairvoyant? This week didn’t exactly clear things up on that front.

This week didn’t exactly clear things up on that front. by Leah Stone With this week’s episode, we see the introduction of a character new to the SHIELD series but extremely well known in the Marvel Universe, Asgardian Lady Sif. In this episode she travels to earth to track down Lorelei (seen at the end of the previous episode) who has a history of controlling men through witchcraft and using them to take over worlds. Those of you unfamiliar with the Asgardian side of Marvel, Sif is Thor’s lover (Only in the comics, at the moment - Ed.), a warrior of Asgard and an extremely talented fighter. by Leah Stone Every show eventually reaches that level of awesomeness that it never has before, and will struggle to again. The pinnacle of it's brilliance. The latest episode of Agents of SHIELD could very well have reached it's pinnacle. Although not full of high-octane action and fight scenes that get your heart racing, like most AoS episodes, it has enough else going on to keep your eyes glued to the screen. by Leah Stone This week’s episode of Agents of Shield was one of those episodes that jumps backwards and forwards in time so we see what happens to all of the characters. It starts off with the team starting on a mission on a train running through Italy. On it is a package that is being shipped to Ian Quinn (see the last episode.) Our favourite SHIELD operatives use this as a way to hopefully seek out the Clairvoyant. The team split into pairs: Coulson and Simmons, Skye and Fitz, and Ward and May. We see each pair and what happens to them one by one, until all of the smaller plots tie in together at the end for the cliff-hanger ending. by Leah Stone This week, we actually get to travel to a SHIELD Academy, from which Fitz and Simmons came from. They, along with Skye and Ward, were sent to the academy to investigate a situation where a swimming pool was frozen by a device Fitz had investigated, nearly trapping some students inside. by Leah Stone Agents of Shield has finally returned to the UK this week after its extremely long mid-season break. At the end of the previous episode, Agent Coulson was kidnapped by Centipede, and Mike Peterson was thought to have been killed in an explosion. This week’s episode followed the Shield agents, lead by Victoria Hand. By Leah Stone It’s taken me all of these weeks to realise that the titles of the episodes are really not all that creative, are they? Basically take something that was said in the episode and “hey let’s put that as the title.” It’s just a little annoyance I now have. Come on Marvel, you have such a great artillery of writers and the best title you could come up with this episode was “Repairs”? By Leah Stone This week’s episode was for all you Thor fans out there, as there are quite a few references to the God of Thunder and actually starts with the team cleaning up after Thor: The Dark World. By Leah Stone I’m happy to say that the latest episode has kept with the high quality of the previous. Perhaps now the quality of the episodes will stay steady from now on? Here’s hoping… By Leah Stone I was extremely disappointed with the last episode, ‘The Girl in the Flower Dress.’ I had thought the quality of the show was on the up, but then it stooped with the last episode. So I sat back to watch this week’s episode with little hope of something high-quality and, more importantly, great to watch. And I will say I was greatly surprised. But please note, I am somewhat fed up with the quality of the episodes going up and down like a yo-yo. |
