 OK, so today’s semi-final is slightly cruel. We’re asking you to choose between husband and wife, Rory and Amy. Only three days left to go until Doctor Who returns to our screens! And you might think that we’d heard all of the news about the series, what with yesterday’s announcement of episode titles, writers and directors. But wait – because today, the BBC announced that each episode would be accompanied by a ten-minute behind-the-scenes episode of Doctor Who Extra.  It's an all-Classic Companion Faceoff quarter final! First, we've got Fifth Doctor compatriots Turlough and Tegan facing off against each other, and then it's the Brigadier vs fellow UNIT employee Jo Grant. Also, just a warning - there is one picture which is slightly NSFW. What can you do with these actresses?

For the past week, I have spent my time with big hair and even bigger personalities. I have encountered every shade possible and been doused with fishiness. I have sashayed away. I have lip-synced to every pop song in the world. More importantly, I have learnt that six seasons of a show of massive souls, tender hearts and the most diverse collection of people can hook me like no other. Not only am I struggling to assimilate back to life without bedazzled frocks and big wigs, but I really am trying to figure out how I can look as good as the contestants on this phenomenal show. Easily the most polarising Doctor, Colin Baker had the toughest time as the titular hero. During a time of scrutiny from those at the top of the BBC (we’re looking at you, Michael Grade!), the shows producers decided to take a bold, if futile step away from the wacky, heroic Timelord we were used to, by making the sixth Doctor a far darker, angrier and more ferocious character. Despite portraying one of the most compelling incarnations of the Doctor, Baker’s time was cut short when the show was unceremoniously, indefinitely cancelled and he himself fired.  To celebrate the Blu-ray & DVD release of Boardwalk Empire Season 4, we’re taking a look at the slew of new characters in this dazzling prohibition-era epic. The introduction of SIX unique new characters, all with different motivations, help to develop Season Four into a thrilling journey of deceit and intrigue set in Atlantic City during the roaring twenties.
 So, we're into our final eight now here on the I'm With Geek Doctor Who Companion Faceoff. Today, rather than talking about the companions or giving you a little clip, we're going to talk briefly about the actors behind those companions (only briefly - we've got another article coming up soon!), and then give you the chance to vote. In today's Faceoff, we've got Romana vs Rory, and Susan vs Amy.
