Yesterday, the BBC released 11 out of the 12 episodes for the new series of Doctor Who, featuring Peter Capaldi in his first series as The Doctor.
Yesterday, the BBC released 11 out of the 12 episodes for the new series of Doctor Who, featuring Peter Capaldi in his first series as The Doctor.
One thing of note, many of these episodes are collaborations. It's no secret that Steven Moffat received some scathing comments and reviews of many of his episodes (especially the last series.) perhaps he has for once listened to the people and has decided to get some help with his plots and script writing.
Another interesting thing we can take from this is the introduction of a new character, Danny Pink, in the second episode ‘Into The Dalek.’ Danny, played by Samuel Anderson (Casualty, Doctors, Emmerdale) will be Clara’s new boyfriend, a teacher at Coal Hill School That sounds fine and dandy until you see the images of him as his characters. He appears a bit suspicious, perhaps someone to look out for.

But now let’s look at the actual episode titles themselves. You can pretty much guarantee that there will be Daleks in this series ‘Into The Dalek’ kind of gives that away. Perhaps this is our chance to find out about the Dalek Clara that we met on our adventures with Amy and Rory. There are mentions of mummys, caretakers and robots, and the title ’Flatlines’ suggests that maybe someone we know and love dies (though lets not just jump to that conclusion just yet.)
After so many months of waiting, the first episode of a new series of Doctor Who is finally upon us. Let’s hope it quells the negative mutterings concerning last week’s episode and that it sets Capaldi for a long reign as The Doctor.
