The poor musketeers on The Musketeers: even when there’s multiple unconnected storylines in one episode, they’re still barely involved. And with so many things going on at once, no-one really had time to talk to each other, so no-one could warn the king against taking Milady as a mistress, or tell Constance that kidnapping the heir to the throne is a bad idea no matter what your motivations, or give Rochefort some romantic advice. This week, it was all about the side characters, with Porthos the only musketeer who got to do anything other than punch things.

They’ve already got you rushing to the cinema to see their movies, now they’ll have you glued to your screens as well as they present us with 5 new TV shows. Daredevil, A.K.A Jessica Jones, Iron fist, Luke Cage and The Defenders will air on Netflix, with the first two programs confirmed for 2015 release. Netflix has added the shows to their queue with the following bits of information for each show: by Cookie N Screen American Horror Story – Oh how fickle you are! After all, you entice with some excellent characters then sort of waste them entirely. You go down brilliant paths only to make a wrong turn and end up back where you started. You feel as though you are heading down the same route as Glee – holding on to all the dazzling tricks whilst failing to remotely bring realistic characters or believably journey’s. It’s as though the whole crew, cast and writers have gone one too many times on the waltzers and have gotten a little dizzy from excitement. So when you have a sniff of something good, it’s going to throw it back up in your face. by Graham Osborne It’s hard to say where Agent Carter will end up in the long run. The show is enjoyable enough, but lacks the punch of the films, and the series feels more like a slightly more polished Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., with a slow-ish start and building up from there. It’s a good formula, but it relies on a delicate balancing act of maintaining just enough excitement to keep the pace whilst not giving away too much to spoil the rest of the production. Luckily, the episodes of this miniseries are captivating enough to suggest that Marvel are on the right lines. by Cookie N Screen The main problem with being a truly superb series is how far can you carry on the excellence before you run into issues? For example, in season two of Hannibal, the over complicated plot and abundance of characters used to energise the Lecter and Graham relationship along is detrimental to the series as a whole. Orange Is The New Black, whilst exceedingly great a majority of the time, still suffered filler episodes. It’s like a television show is this giant movie and not all minutes can be stellar (the minutes here being certain episodes). So you’ve got to keep this in mind that whilst this week’s episode of Broadchurch may have felt like a filler episodes, it couldn’t be on point all the time. by Hayley Charlesworth and Leah Stone Season Two of The 100 started on E4 last week. For those out of the loop, the show explores the post-apocalyptic genre; in the aftermath of a nuclear war, humans fled to space. But with their space station, the Ark, failing, they send 100 teenagers, locked up for crimes they have committed, to Earth to see if it is habitable. Headed by Jason Rothenberg, The 100 has already reaped a large school of fans whilst being praised for it's action and rounded characters! And lucikly, I'm With Geek were able to sit down with the creator, executive producer and writer of the show to give us his thoughts on Season Two and where the show is heading! by Graham Osborne Star Wars Rebels has returned from the mid-season break with yet another strong storyline. Ezra is facing concerns from Jarrus following events against the Inquisitor during ‘Gathering Forces’ and the rest of the crew are feeling the pinch as the need for food and fuel becomes ever more apparent. by Gemma Williams Galavant started with a bang last week with its debut episodes. It was funny, charming and cheesy. Out of the eight episodes, four have now aired. We are now officially half way through the series, but were the latest two episodes as gripping as the first two? Or did the show start well and is now veering off? Boardwalk Empire Season Five is out on DVD and Blu-Ray today! But would you survive the Boardwalk? Take our quiz and find out!
