Fresh off picking up a couple of BAFTA Kids nominations (Best Drama and Best Writer for series creator Debbie Moon), Wolfblood is hurtling towards the season three conclusion with a penultimate couple of episodes which manage to thrill, surprise and stun in just about equal measure. In one hour of television, things have changed in Stoneybridge, alliances have been forged and broken, and we've been left with one humdinger of a cliffhanger!
Maybe it’s just your faithful reviewer’s inherently suspicious nature, but she did totally call Kincaid’s evilness back when he first appeared (no-one has ever eaten a slice of pizza quite so sinisterly before). Mind you, the fact that Sweeney wasn’t also in on it came as a bit of a shock. She’s been built up for weeks as a terrifying figure, and hopefully she’ll continue to be intimidating even if she helps rescue the pack from Kincaid’s hideaway mansion. It would be too much of a cliche for her to turn out to be really nice underneath it all now that we know she’s (almost definitely at this point) not behind Cerberus.
Just one episode is left, and things look pretty bleak. The Wolfbloods have been imprisoned by Kincaid, and now it’s going to be down to Shannon and Tom to get them out, along with whatever help they can get. Will they trust Sweeney and Dacia? Will Mr Jeffries be much help on his bicycle? And now that Liam’s had his suspicions vindicated, can he help out? Either they rescue their friends, or it’s the end of Wolfbloods altogether.
