As the countdown towards Christmas continues, Whovians have been awarded another sliver of information on the Doctor Who 2013 Christmas Special: The Time of the Doctor. In this episode, as we all know, Matt Smith will regenerate and be replaced by Peter Capaldi. Smith has been The Doctor since 2009, and everyone will miss his bow ties, fezzes, humour, childishness and his clumsiness.
There is the mention of Trenzalore, where we know The Doctor will be buried when he finally runs out of regenerations. It is also where Dorium Maldovar (for those of you that do not recognise the name, the big blue guy who had his head put in a box) prophesied the Eleventh Doctor will fall. So there is no surprise the episode is being set there.
With all of these monsters placed on the planet where the Doctor will finally be laid to rest, it certainly seems we are in for one hell of an episode which will more than likely leave many in tears, anger, and excitement because, as one Doctor falls, another rises from the ashes, and I will admit I am rather anticipating Peter Capaldi and how he will portray our hero...
