Fairytale lovers of the world! 28th September marks the day we welcome Season Four of Once Upon A Time back to our screens, in a flurry of ice, magic and drama. But who and what else awaits us…?
Georgina Haig (Fringe) has been cast as the Snow Queen, and certainly looks the part; as the main critique to date has been her hair extensions and lack of ‘volume’ the world positively awaits the opening episode of Season Four. Many will be watching with bated breath for how the hair performs in motion, magic battles and spontaneous sing-alongs, and to find out how Elsa ended up in Rumplestiltskin’s prison in the first place.
Tyler Jacob Moore (Shameless, Revenge) has been cast as Prince Hans, who stole hearts with ‘Love is an Open Door’ but lost them by trying to kill the Arendelle Royal Family; is he up to his old tricks and how will the character be translated into Storybrooke? Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost), will be appearing in an antagonistic role with potential that she could be the original Snow Queen. Perhaps even Anna and Elsa’s mother, as after all Disney didn’t actually confirm their parents died at sea…
The revelations continue as OUAT plans to explore Belle’s past pre-Rumplestiltskin; Frances O’Connor (Mr Selfridge) will play Colette, Belle’s mother, in flashbacks. Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’s Will Scarlett/Knave of Hearts, Michael Socha, will also be appearing in the new season; did his happily ever after with the Red Queen not end so well?
On top of all this casting hullabaloo, the remaining cast members were left in a state of limbo following the death of Zelina, birth of Prince Neal and return of Maid Marion… hold onto your hats, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!
