We find ourselves in the middle of one of our own flashbacks. Not just one of those ‘fill in the blanks’ Enchanted Forest flashbacks I usually get excited about...
Pats on the back all round for we fairytale lubbers as we remembered a key moment in OUAT history – the farewell scene between Belle and Rumple before our family of heroes run off to #save Henry.
*Wipes tear from eye* *big breath*
Let’s blooming well hope Henry gets saved today or I’m going to Neverland to get him MYSELF!
I get that.
And for that reason – let’s hope he gets brought home ASAP. And for the record, I offered to help out…
ANYWAY, after they left, the townsfolk ran up to congratulate the heroes on saving the day YET again. But as they were already gone (cue a collective ‘oh’ of disappointment) Belle (Emilie de Ravin) shared the town cloaking plan to prevent Greg and Tamara’s cohorts coming to ruin everything for Storybrooke life. Down in the mines they dig for fairydust to cast the spell but are a little late; the new troublemakers cruise into town just before the shield comes down…
And the next thing we know is Ariel (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) has flip flopped her way into Storybrooke, watched by ‘Greg and Tamara mark two’ who will not let her leave Storybrooke. Eric had better make an appearance to save the day soon then! Belle is moping in the diner; unable to eat cheeseburgers without Rumple, Archie (aka Jiminy Cricket played by Raphael Sbarge) attempts to cheer her up. Ariel rocks up – with a sand shell containing a message from Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) to save the day.
Ariel’s an optimist and by removing her ‘legs bracelet’ the slack from her fins gets them loose from their bindings. By then the troublesome twosome have left with the box.
BUT in an OUAT twist, Pan’s henchmen are Michael and John Darling!! And they are being blackmailed by Pan as Wendy is in the other cage in Neverland! Pan (Robbie Kay) is not a nice guy at all – he’s kept them alive since Victorian England just to do his bidding. Because they are nice boys, and following the leader is one of their favourite songs, they give the box to Belle and Ariel to save their sister the Rumplestiltskin way.
Ariel takes the box back to Rumple and Regina (Lana Parrilla), and is granted the control of her legs/tail as she wishes. Happy ending in the making
Their daughter is in a predicament. Hook and Emma? Emma and Neal? Which is better? It’s up for debate. But in the meantime they have reached Dark Hollow, the home of the shadows. And while there Neal and Hook decide it is an ideal time to start squabbling over lighting the coconut candle. Suddenly Pan’s shadow arrives, flanked by two others, and proceeds to rip Hook and Neal’s shadows away in an unpleasant struggle. Emma has to take matters into her own hands and uses her magic to light the candle!
Emma only lives to love Henry and save him. SO STOP SQUABBLING BOYS. They catch up with Snow, Charming and Tink (Rose McIver) and share the news of the Shadow’s capture. They can get off the island now – all they need is Henry.
Felix drops his bag and Henry picks it up (not at all planted for him), climbs a ladder and finds Wendy (Freya Tingley) in bed ‘ill’. She tells him how the island’s magic is fading, that she knew Baelfire (as we already know) and he saved her brothers; and of course Pan is doing everything he can to ‘save Wendy’ (not…).
Wendy doesn’t like lying to him, but Pan needs to control Henry’s beliefs as ‘the truest believer’. He needs Henry to believe in him.
He catches up with a depressed Henry in the jungle. ‘Why so glum chum? And I’m afraid Wendy is dying, and her life depends on you believing.’ Salvation awaits at Skull Rock. Heroism, sacrifice, are you up to the task Henry?
Yes.
I don’t know if I have the energy for this storyline anymore… don’t get me wrong it’s been exciting and great to see our favourite characters try something new but I really hope we get Henry home next time. Please.
And if Eric (Gil McKinney) could show up soon that would be good. Let’s get a few happy endings in amongst the Henry drama!
