Hello all! If you remember last week, I said the show has returned to its former glory. Lucky for us, it’s continued this streak, and we’ve been blessed with another fantastic episode! So, what’s going down this week?
Meanwhile, Virgil and Max search Saul’s house, after Lockhart found out about Saul’s trip. They present him with pictures of Alain Bernard (Mira’s lover) leaving his house, followed by him having a meeting with Lockhart at a diner. Saul shows Lockhart the pictures, and asks that he postpones the date of his confirmation hearing (So that Brody can complete his mission in time) in exchange for not releasing the images. Lockhart agrees, but questions why Saul doesn’t merely destroy him with the image. Saul claims that not only would it hurt the CIA, but also embarrass his wife.
I respect Saul’s decision, and admit that it is very smart, but I can’t be the only one who seriously wanted to see Lockhart destroyed. Come on, we all hate him! What we wouldn’t give to see him wrecked. But, Saul is better than that, and has indeed put himself in a very good position. It seems that from now on, the Senator will be treading lightly...
Considerable lack of Quinn aside, this episode was really great. Wonderful acting and constantly engaging storylines. For once, I can say that I cannot wait for the next episode of Homeland!
