This week’s episode takes us to Peru in search of an 0-8-4; an Object of Unknown Origin. Before even touching down, we have whispers abounding of a bit of tension between Coulson’s new team – revolving particularly around his inclusion of the Rising Tide revolutionary Skye, who has already hacked into S.H.I.E.L.D.’s networks from nothing more than a laptop. The battle lines seem to be drawn – if you can really call them that – with Agents Grant Ward and Melinda May feeling extremely cautious about Skye’s presence on the team, and the scientists Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons seeking to welcome her, even if their hesitance is apparent (though some of that could certainly be their hesitance about social interaction in general).

By Julia Lawson You may recall I anticipated dark times on the horizon of Once Upon a Time; ‘chilling’ was the word of the day. And although the Season 3 opener fulfils those expectations, I was so excited for this first episode that I thought I may pop! And that is literally where we find ourselves at the start of Season 3 with a very pregnant, and understandably emotional, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) ready to pop, bringing Henry into the world. Cut to dramatic portal travel as the Jolly Roger succumbs to the pull of the magic bean-fueled vortex, taking our unusual hero family to the realms of Neverland, once again with Henry being centre-stage in the plot. By Heather Stromski I will readily admit: I have been fangirling over this moment since the announcement of the show was first made. Come on – Marvel. Joss Whedon. Superheroes. High tech. This is pretty much hitting almost every single trigger I have. So, for the pilot, I will be writing this as a running diary, sharing with you every thought I have as I have it, as well as various theories and realizations that pop up as the hour winds down. Ready? Here we go! By Robbie Jones I am a wreck. Literally. My editor had to come pick me up from the asylum after this episode aired. Still, let’s just get on with it, and celebrate what was, in my eyes, the greatest TV show of all time. So turns out I was wrong; the episode starts with Walter stealing a Volvo, and visiting Gretchen and Elliot. However, he doesn’t intend to hurt them. He gives them every last penny he has and tells them to give it to Walter Jr. when he turns eighteen. The pair reluctantly agree as red dots appear on their bodies and Walter informs they’re being aimed at by the two best hit men this side of the Mississippi. |
