By now, most of you will have no doubt watched the latest, jaw-dropping trailer for Arkham Knight. (And if you haven’t, what the hell have you been doing all this time?) In just two and a half minutes we are shown glimpses of Gotham in all its glory, together with the deadly adversaries Batman will encounter as he endeavours to save his city. It all looks rather wonderful, doesn't it? Indeed it did, and all this new magnificence now appears to be wrapped up with a neat little bow that says “M for Mature”, which for some reason seems to have picked up a fair amount of media attention.

Indeed it did, and all this new magnificence now appears to be wrapped up with a neat little bow that says “M for Mature”, which for some reason seems to have picked up a fair amount of media attention. by Islam Soliman It was a lifetime ago when the all-new Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 appeared as two hefty love letters to all gamers whilst gracefully taking the helm as master innovators in the 21st Century living room. But with the latest salvoes of ongoing console wars, between Sony, Microsoft and even Nintendo, many remain dissuaded by next-gen publisher’s greed. by The IWG Games Team Wow, Holy new game trailer, Batman! You'll have to forgive the robin-esque Batman pun, but with the release of a new trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight, a few bad puns have to be expected. Following on from Arkham City, Arkham Knight sees Bats pitted against a plethora of villains, all of whom seem led by the Scarecrow. Harley Quinn, The Riddler, Penguin, Two Face, Poison Ivy - they're all here, most seeming to team up under one banner to try and rid Gotham of Batman once and for all. by The IWG Games Team I bet you thought we were done reporting about the cancelled Square Enix/Climax Studios project Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun, but within a day of revealing the first gameplay footage from the canned 2012 game, NeoGaf user Mama Robotnik has dropped another post full of goodies for us to collectively lick our lips at. by Luke Kirby It was bad enough when GTA V was delayed the first time around from January to March, but Rockstar are rustling your jimmies again with a further delay to the highly anticipated PC version scheduled for release April 14th. However there is some good news for us dirty console peasants. by the IWG Games Team Back in 2013, a user on NeoGaf by the name of Mama Robotnik leaked a series of documents showing evidence that a new Legacy of Kain single player game had been in development at Climax Studios under supervision from Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics (with the latter in a more advisory role). by Gemma Williams Grand Theft Auto V has been a consistent hit since its original release in 2013. Initially just for Xbox 360 and PS3, it has since been made available for Xbox One and PS4 as well, with a PC release due next month. Free with each version of the game was the hugely popular add-on GTA Online. Now, there is to be more content in the form of Heist Mode (which was confirmed during the game's late development but before its original release), and naturally, this information has been leaked onto the internet. by Vanessa 'Nessie' Hague With the recent Saints Row IV and Borderlands remaster coming up for release in March, it seems that more and more games these days are getting the old revamp with some spanky new HD texturing. They're basically the same games that we've bought before but with slightly nicer graphics. by Luke Kirby This is a game I’ve wanted to play for years; I never got the chance to do so when I was younger but a few years ago I tried to play via an emulator but it was somewhat glitchy with textures disappearing and the like. Then I tried on an N64 but after an hour of playing it gave up on me meaning I was unable to continue my adventure as the young hero clad in green, this was for the best. by Maia Jern I’ve been playing PC games for a long time. I was one of the first kids I knew who even had a computer at home, let alone their own computer. Because my dad worked as a beta tester, I had new software before it was even out yet. The first games I played were platform games to learn maths and English, but I suppose my first proper gaming experience was The 7th Guest. Not that I played it myself back then. I watched my mum play it, and even in the bright lights of her room I found it scary and exciting. |
