Super Smash Bros (3DS) - Demo

On Friday the 12th of September, under very specific circumstances, a small portion of Nintendo Club members received a number of download codes for the Super Smash Bros 3DS demo a week before public release. Though I was not personally one of those to receive codes, I was lucky enough to have 'Links' with people who were.

Anticipated Games - Hyrule Warriors

This Friday finally sees the western release of the hotly-anticipated Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U, which features the hack n' slash gameplay style of the popular Dynasty Warriors series, mixed in with characters, weapons and settings from the iconic Legend of Zelda franchise.

The game has already enjoyed moderate success over in Japan where it released last month, but will it help the Wii U get ready to sell this Christmas?

Microsoft might be buying Mojang

Microsoft created some controversial waves last month when they announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider would be a 'holiday exclusive' for Xbox One when it releases in Christmas 2015. At first the announcement received a mixed reaction, but eventually the company gave in and revealed that the exclusivity of the title was timed (and that the game would eventually see the expected multiple platform release). That puts Microsoft toe-to-toe with Sony once again, only Sony have Uncharted 4: A Thief's End in the wings, which is a complete exclusive (since Sony owns the developer Naughty Dog). So to get ahead, Microsoft certainly need to get some more exclusives. Halo and Gears of War simply won't cut it anymore.

Thoughts on The Walking Dead Season Two (Spoiler-free!)

The folks at Nintendo have been rather busy recently so I thought it would be nice to accumulate all this information into one place so you lovely people don’t have to go anywhere else. To start off we were told recently about a new Pokémon project in the works and we were given Pokken, a cross between Pokémon and Tekken (naturally), however this seems to only be available in Japanese arcades next year. I must admit I felt foolish for getting my hopes up for a home console Pokémon game, oh well I can still dream.

The issue of LGBTQ representation in any form of media is an issue that is very close to my heart for a variety of personal reasons and, since I have a passionate love for video games, you could say that LGTBQ representation in gaming is doubly as important for me. Not only is it important to me, it is important to countless other people who consider themselves to fall under the LGTBQ umbrella and take up an active part in gaming.

Anticipated Games - Mass Effect 4

The next Mass Effect game was teased during EA's E3 conference last week. The game itself was in very early development stages, but we did get a glimpse of a new protagonist, new worlds and we got to listen to some of the team at Bioware discuss their ambitions and desires for creating the game. But what do the fans want?
