For all you Batman fans out there who were looking forward to playing Batman: Arkham Knight, which was initially due for release in October for next-gen systems and PC, has unfortunately been pushed back till 2015, developer Rocksteady has confirmed. Whilst no reason was given for the delay it's possible the extra time is being used to polish the game more and give each fan a Batman game they deserve.

As of this announcement however, WB Games and Rocksteady Have released a new teaser to make up for the delay that gives us a good look at the new Batmobile, with all of its fancy looking high tech weapons to boot.

Batman: Arkham Knight
is the third and final installment in Rocksteady's Arkham trilogy and if this gameplay trailer is anything to go by, this game is going to be, for a lack of a better word, epic. Although not much is revealed about the game's storyline in this trailer we do get introduced to some key characters.

The Game Generator: Next-gen Superman

5/19/2014

DC has had its ups and downs in its quest to put together an impressive Superman-themed game, ranging from the horrendous (albeit legendary) Superman 64 to the more recent and mildly better received Superman Returns. Admittedly it’s no easy task to base a game on a character as powerful as the Man of Steel. I mean he can fly, for one. He can exhale strong gusts of wind, for two. He can shoot lasers from his eyes, for three, as well as other crazy-powerful abilities. And all because he comes from a world far, far away.

Revisiting Batman: Arkham Origins - Part Two

5/16/2014

Of course, Arkham Origins was a game not without its faults. And as you'll know from all of the reviews which have been out since October, there are a good few! Firstly, the game broke the pattern in the series by being the first installment not to take a huge leap (or – in fact – any leap) in gameplay.

Revisiting Batman: Arkham Origins - Part One

5/14/2014

R
eleased on October 25th 2013, Batman: Arkham Origins was the third main entry of the infamous Arkham series. It was a prequel to Arkham Asylum, taking place in a period of time where Batman is still in the process of meeting his deadliest enemies for the first time. Arkham Origins was meant to be the culmination of the task which began in Arkham Asylum and continued in Arkham City, to take the best elements of both stealth and action genres and have them married in a beautiful, bat-filled ceremony. The finest elements of both games should have merged with clear references to the twisted, iconic asylum of the first game as well as the giant urban prison of the second. The main question everyone was asking however – did this game live up to the infamous ‘Arkham’ reputation?

Batman: Arkham Knight Revealed

3/4/2014

Following a stumble on the official Game website where they inadvertently leaked some of the details, Warner Bros Interactive Studios decided to finally lift the veil on what Rocksteady have been working on in secret. Last year saw the release of the highly-anticipated Arkham Origins, which served as a disappointing prequel to both Arkham Asylum and its follow-up. The game fell short of expectations and didn’t expand on the franchise in any defining way. However everyone who knows anything about the game recognises that Rocksteady had little involvement in its production, and therefore it was always suspected that they might have a next-gen weapon hidden up their sleeve.

Without its lead protagonist, a video game is nothing but a shallow husk of code. And so, I created this list to showcase the best of the best; the crème de la crème of videogame heroes, and anti-heroes.

Batman: Arkham Origins - Villains I'd like to see 'Arkamised' (Spoilers)

Being a massive 'batfan' and video game geek has rarely been as profitable as it has during the Arkham Asylum series released by Rocksteady in recent years. Before this, gamers were treated to a slew of games that ranged from bad to mediocre (Batman Begins, Batman: Return of the Joker) with the odd diamond in the rough such as the original NES game and fantastic Batman: Vengeance. So, with today’s announcement of Batman: Arkham Origins, new developers Warner Brothers Games Montreal or WBGM for short (the people who developed the Wii U version of Arkham City), have big shoes to fill. With Deathstroke already announced as one of the 8 rouge's gallery villains/assassins to be in the game, here's the list of characters I'd like to fill the other 7 slots.
