Bethesda have always been known to gamers around the world for making excellent quality games, and today they took another leap forward by hosting their first ever electronic entertainment (E3) conference! By John Philip Jennings Having played Destiny for approximately nine hours I've only just hit the point of new content I didn't reach during the Beta. The first area hasn't changed much, with only minor tweaks applied to the game's enemies, and also to the various locations to stop exploits. When I played the Beta I really enjoyed the content on offer having never been a big fan of MMO's I can start to see why some people enjoy them, with destiny there seems to be plenty of room for expansion. By John Philip Jennings Stargate is a franchise which has a lot of potential for a video game release and I'm not talking about a mobile video game here. That has already it been done several times. I've always thought that video games are so much more suited to be released on home consoles. Going off the history of Stargate video games as a whole it has become clear that the games I really looked forward to are the ones that didn't see the light of day, the titles that are designed for the home console. The IWG Games Team Recently a number of games have received a bit of an upgrade for the next gen consoles. With remastered editions of Tomb Raider and The Last of Us now available, and looking better than ever, it seems a good time to consider other possible games that ought to be given a little tender loving care. We've put our heads together and chosen some of our favourite titles which we'd love to see in full HD glory. The IWG Games Team And so the long journey reaches its end. The final boss is defeated and the gameplay dissolves into a final, rewarding cinematic. But there are some such endings which stand out to us a lot more than others, ensuring that the game in question (whatever it may be) remains on our shelves forever. Here are our favourite endings in gaming. Spoilers galore! By John Philip Jennings The next Mass Effect game was teased during EA's E3 conference last week. The game itself was in very early development stages, but we did get a glimpse of a new protagonist, new worlds and we got to listen to some of the team at Bioware discuss their ambitions and desires for creating the game. But what do the fans want? By the IWG Games Team So the excitement of E3 is over for another year, and we took the opportunity to ask some of our writers what they thought of the recent conferences and if there was a clear winner this year. Despite the differing opinions, everyone seems to be in agreement that EA's conference just blatantly sucked. By John Philip Jennings Games, Games And Games. This is what this years Xbox conference was all about, This is what Xbox owners wanted. This is what I wanted to see a lot more off. I mean what makes a games console? The games! Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer walked onto the stage to recognise not only the developers creating games for the Xbox platform, but Xbox's fans and their competitors in the console war, Playstation and Nintendo. By John Philip Jennings For all you Batman fans out there who were looking forward to playing Batman: Arkham Knight, which was initially due for release in October for next-gen systems and PC, has unfortunately been pushed back till 2015, developer Rocksteady has confirmed. Whilst no reason was given for the delay it's possible the extra time is being used to polish the game more and give each fan a Batman game they deserve. As of this announcement however, WB Games and Rocksteady Have released a new teaser to make up for the delay that gives us a good look at the new Batmobile, with all of its fancy looking high tech weapons to boot. |
