So the excitement of E3 is over for another year, and we took the opportunity to ask some of our writers what they thought of the recent conferences and if there was a clear winner this year. Despite the differing opinions, everyone seems to be in agreement that EA's conference just blatantly sucked.

This year Nintendo needed to show consumers why, as a company, they are still strong competitors against the likes of Microsoft and Sony. After their performance at E3 this year and the vast amount games announced I feel that Nintendo have shown their importance and why their system(s) are worth having.

Games, Games And Games.

This is what this years Xbox conference was all about, This is what Xbox owners wanted. This is what I wanted to see a lot more off. I mean what makes a games console? The games! Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer walked onto the stage to recognise not only the developers creating games for the Xbox platform, but Xbox's fans and their competitors in the console war, Playstation and Nintendo.

Ubisoft have become one of the more revered gaming companies in recent years, having been responsible for such successful franchises as Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell and Rayman. The wonderful Aisha Tyler returned to host their E3 press conference last night, during which a range of upcoming titles were unveiled, each to be released over the course of the next year.

Metal Gear Solid V : The Phantom Pain - E3 Trailer

E3 season is well underway with the leakage of this year's first new trailer for upcoming tactical espionage sequel, Metal Gear Solid V : The Phantom Pain!

Set in 1985, the plot of MGSV deals with the violent aftermath of Ground Zeroes, the game's controversial 'prologue' chapter which was released earlier this year, and stars 24's Kiefer Sutherland as the haunted super soldier, Big Boss.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (New Trailer)

Gearbox seem to be ramping things up for their latest installment in the Borderlands franchise, having just released a new trailer only hours ago, "The Pre-Sequel Moon Dance" trailer, hot off the heels of the Handsome Jack Pre-Sequel trailer they released a few weeks back. Things for the Pre-Sequel look very promising if the latest trailer is anything to go by.

Dying Light - E3 Trailer

Dying Light is an upcoming first-person, story-driven survival game set in a post-apocalyptic setting filled with hordes of the undead. It is developed by Techland will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive when it arrives on both current and next-gen systems early next year.

Mario Kart 8 - Review

For twenty-two years that happy-go-lucky mustached plumber (and the various anthropomorphic creatures of the Mushroom Kingdom) have been writing and rewriting the playbook on how to correctly do a racing game, and this latest installment has its sights set on adding its own special chapter to this infamous genre-defining series. Nintendo pulls out all the stops in this regard, and I’m going to try and keep the twelve-year-old fanboy in me at bay to tell you about the good, the bad and the downright nit-picky about Mario Kart 8.

Watch_Dogs - Review

We all remember when Watch_Dogs was first showcased to the world at E3 back in 2012 and completely took everyone by surprise. The standards were set inexplicably high during that first reveal, with so many hoping that the promised game was truly going to herald the next gaming generation. Two years later and the game has finally been released, so the question is - does Watch_Dogs live up to hype?

Batman: Arkham Knight - DELAYED UNTIL 2015

For all you Batman fans out there who were looking forward to playing Batman: Arkham Knight, which was initially due for release in October for next-gen systems and PC, has unfortunately been pushed back till 2015, developer Rocksteady has confirmed. Whilst no reason was given for the delay it's possible the extra time is being used to polish the game more and give each fan a Batman game they deserve.

As of this announcement however, WB Games and Rocksteady Have released a new teaser to make up for the delay that gives us a good look at the new Batmobile, with all of its fancy looking high tech weapons to boot.
