X-Men has always been something that really grabbed my attention since the first film, X-Men, came out in 2000. Since then, I have watched every film and plan on seeing the newest instalment of X-Men: Days of Future Past on its opening night this Thursday 22nd May. I have also delved into reading the comics from time to time, although admittedly I don’t read them anywhere near enough as I’d actually like to. To celebrate this new film, for which we have seen a LOT of promotional material in the form of trailers, live events and photographs over the past few weeks, I have put together a list of my top five mutants.

After making a few different genres, including a short film titled The Death of Batman and a feature length comedy film called The Steamroom, Flaherty turned his attention to a blend of sci-fi and action in Brutal, which was released to American audiences on the 5th January this year. A blend of sci-fi and action? Yes, and it works so well! by Olivia Grey Happy 10th Anniversary, Plastics! That is so fetch! Yes, today marks the 10th anniversary of the film that perfectly captured the characteristics and stereotypes of an entire generation. First released back in 2004 with Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert and Lizzy Caplan filling the main roles, Mean Girls centres around Cady Heron, who transfers from Africa following her parents recent 12-month long research trip. Originally home-schooled by her beloved parents, Cady is therefore unsure of what to expect when she finally arrives at a regular American high school called North Shore High School. |
