Are we all ready for another dose of Chris Evans? Of course we are.
Evans has put his Captain America costume aside in favour of another action-packed treat for his fans in the form of Snowpiercer. Based on the French novel of the same name, this up and coming dystopian action thriller is bound to have audiences on the edge of their seats and anxiously biting their fingernails if the feature length film is anything similar to the new trailer we have our hands on.
Due for release on the 27th June and rated R, Snowpiercer details the notion of an Ice Age which ruins the very fabric of our Earth, all except the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train which travels the length and breadth of the world. All passengers are subjected to a degrading class system on board, headed by the fabulous Tilda Swindon as a harsh and deadly dictator who is always there to remind the passengers of their ‘place’ on the train. Perhaps not good for claustrophobic eyes, Snowpiercer looks as though most of the film will be played out on board the train, which will only add to a growing feeling of being trapped just like the passengers are. But is there any hope for them? Of course there is, Chris Evans is on board after all. Although, he could have probably used that costume for this film to get himself out of this trouble he’s in!
This film is promising, and has an all-star supporting cast, including Jamie Bell and the legendary John Hurt along with Evans and Swindon. With even the just shy of two minute long trailer boasting amazing visuals and feelings of intensity, cleverly weaved into the storyline by the incredibly talented Bong Joon-Ho who serves as director for this production.
