Well, they’re in Australia, to be more precise.
That’s right. Will, Simon, Jay and Neil, our cringe-worthy and seriously unlucky group of lads will hit out screens once again on the 2nd of August this year, and will no doubt have us crying with laughter at parts, and grimacing at others. Pipped to be a great follow-on from the first film, simply titled The Inbetweeners, which exploded the box office with over £2.5 million in its first day of release in August 2011 alone, playing at 409 cinemas.
This new trailer is short but sweet, and really does get the hype started. Beginning with a mysterious group of men huddled around a fire chanting in a strange language, you begin to wonder what will come next. Then, a pair of headlights become visible out of nowhere. Closer and closer they come, and the group of men becoming so curious that they stop chanting and stare ahead in the distance. The last thing you expect is for Jay (played by James Buckley) to lean out of the car window, shouting one of his more famous obscenities at the men, who respond accordingly with one of their own. Jay then removes himself from the window, laughing, and we see Will (Simon Bird), Simon (Joe Thomas) and Neil (Blake Harrison) joining in with Jay’s humour as they drive into the darkness. This is far from the trailer we first saw for The Inbetweeners in 2011, which boasted of the boys misadventures on holiday in Crete.
We can be sure to expect great (although I am not sure that great is the correct word) from these boys. Their TV show, where it all began back in 2008 on E4, never failed in making the youth of today laugh and neither did The Inbetweeners. So if you can call that great, then The Inbetweeners 2 should be no different!
