 Happy Father's Day to all the daddy's out there! We know that you are probably cracking some bad jokes and generally being awesome. Our sense of humour, strength and courage in our work probably wouldn't be the same if not for your guidance and understanding.

It's Father's Day today, and since we've already looked at some of the worst dads in film, it leaves us free and clear to celebrate the good ones. And fortunately enough, there are plenty of good portrayals of fathers in films. Ones who subvert the conventions of the stereotypical distant father, and ones who listen to their children and offer them the best advice. Below is a list of fathers who do just that.  by Leah Stone

For anyone who has seen Fluke, and probably cried masses of tears over the film, it will be clear why this film is being mentioned. For those that don’t know, Fluke is a dog who used to be a man and was reincarnated when he met his untimely demise. Thomas, who is now Fluke, was a father in life to a little boy called Brian.
