Sabotage is the next action-packed movie starring the blockbuster machine that is Arnold Schwarzenegger, who plays a role of his regular best in the character of John 'Breacher' Wharton; the leader of the best Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) squad that Atlanta, Georgia can get.
Breacher’s team are a kick-ass bunch. Including Sam Worthington as James ‘Monster’ Murray, and Mireille Enos as his wife Lizzy Murray, Joe Manganiello as Joe ‘Grinder’ Philips, Julius ‘Sugar’ Edmonds played by Terrence Howard, Eddie ‘Neck’ Jordan played by Josh Holloway, Max Martini as Tom ‘Pyro’ Roberts, Kevin Vance as Bryce ‘Tripod’ McNeely, and ‘Smoke’ Jennings played by Mark Schlegel, we can tell just by these names that there will be a promise of violence yes, but also a high level of camaraderie. Previously named ‘Ten’ and allegedly based of the Agatha Christie novel named And Then There Were None, Sabotage is the story of a team of great people who pay for an individual’s a terrible choice, but who has caused their fate? When $10 million goes missing from a raided drug cartel, it becomes obvious that the crooks aren’t letting it go without a fight. Who stole the money, and what lengths will they go to keep it?
Director David Ayer brought us films such as Street Kings (2008) and End of Watch (2012) and wrote the brilliant Training Day back in 2001, so we can be sure to expect great things from this new film of his between Ayer’s creativity when it comes to directing and his stellar, powerhouse of a cast.
Three new TV advertisements have been released by Lionsgate Films UK, showing the DEA team in top form, all muscle and sweat; everything you like to see in an action film. Except this time ‘the hunters are being hunted’. Highly anticipated and gripping, Sabotage promises to have you on the edge of your seat throughout.
