If you’re looking for a new Kickstarter project to back, or a brand new and developing film to look forward to, then look no further than Fist of Jesus: Once Upon a Time in Jerusalem. And yes, that is the title.
If you go onto the Kickstarter page today, you will see that The Alkeme Company has treated us to a two-minute trailer for their project, showing Jesus on full form, disposing of zombies as the tagline promises he does. Hilariously gory in its approach, Fist of Jesus is sure to catch the attention of more potential backers before its time on Kickstarter runs out.
The film will be shot in Spanish but dubbed and subbed in English, with The Alkeme Company having offices in both Los Angeles and Barcelona, Spain. Currently working on two other projects (a highly anticipated politically themed crime drama series “I / NATION” and the animated feature “GEORGE (SAINT)”, which is based on the classic legend of George and the Dragon) The Alkeme Company have their hands full, but with each project they are bringing the world of cinema and entertainment something new and unexpected in the regular genre of mainstream film. Their project of The Fist of Jesus: Once Upon a Time in Jerusalem promises to be an exciting, fun and comedic reimagining of the story of Christ, and it is hard to think of a reason why this film wouldn’t be a success with projects like Monty Python and The Holy Grail being of a similar disposition.
