It’s not too long until Awards season comes back to beckon all over the televisions, magazines, newspapers and the internet. It can be either exciting, maddening or a mixture of both but no matter the reaction to it one thing cannot be denied: it’s a busy time of the year in the film industry!
Kicking off this season of awards is the 21st Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards, whose awards honour performers exclusively from across television and film around the world. A huge variety of performers have been nominated for awards in the film world in the film awards from the up-and-coming performers to the people who are well-established in their craft. Relatively new actors and actresses such as Eddie Redmayne and Emma Stone are competing against heavyweights such as Meryl Streep and Robert Duvall for a glittering SAG award. Film industry pundits will be rather happy to discover that some of the films that were tipped as being nominated for multiple awards have been indeed nominated such as The Imitation Game and The Theory of Everything.
No one can tell who’ll win and who’ll lose, but we are sure as hell looking forward to finding out. Check out the nominations below.
