In the aftermath of a falling out between Sony and Nintendo during a brief love affair. To say the PlayStation was a success would be an understatement, but there was more to the success of this machine than met the eye. Read on to find out more! By Anne Marie Beach This weekend I got down to play the newly released Qbeh-1 The Atlas Cube,. It is the prequel to Qbeh, a short puzzle-platformer developed by Liquid Flower and inspired by popular titles such as Portal and Minecraft. This prequel, which promises to expand on the gameplay introduced in the original game, has been hotly-anticipated as a consequence. Let's find out why! By Vanessa Hague Halo 5: Guardians has been announced by Microsoft today with a release date of Autumn 2015, exclusive for the Xbox One. It is unclear at this point whether or not Halo 5 will be split into multiple games, as was the case with 2009's Halo 3: ODST. According to Eurogamer, US TV and Film actor Mike Colter has been cast in an upcoming feature set within the Halo universe. Colter has had several on-screen parts before now, his most prominent of which was as Big Willie Little in Clint Eastwood's 2004 sports drama film, Million Dollar Baby, which starred Hilary Swank. Colter also famously portrayed Colonel James Darrell Edwards II, revealed to be the father of Agent J (Will Smith's character) in Men in Black 3. By Ben Mapp Back in 2004, Fable gave a surprising and interesting take on the fantasy genre. It was often inventive. But never innovative. It was clumsily made in fact with a strict targeting system, clunky gameplay and an even more dire control scheme, as well as splurging a rather uncreative storyline when compared to other fantasy RPG’s. Anyone who has ever played a fantasy game knows that complex stories can be mesmerising when done properly (Dragon Age: Origins anyone?), but Fable never once attempted it within its own narrative. Fable’s story felt safe with very little risk taken on behalf of the characters or in-game events, but in its own way, this was fine. This was just Fable. It was just how Fable was. |
