There's no denying that 2014 was a fantastic year for gaming. Many things were brought to our attention, such as Ubisoft's apparent inability to hire competent beta testers and the fact that Sonic the Hedgehog turned 23 (and got another makeover), but overall it's been a fun ride. Dragon Age: Inquisition
BioWare
'My favourite game of 2014 would have to be Dragon Age Inquisition. Whilst I enjoyed other titles (and haven't yet fully played others), besides being a huge BioWare fan in general, Inquisition was the title that really felt worth it for me this year. With brilliant characters and voice acting, good LGBTQ representation, a strong story and a return to its RPG roots; Inquisition for me went above and beyond anything else this year.' - Vanessa Hague
