2013 sure was an incredible year for video games. So many unforgettable titles were released; Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, Bioshock Infinite, Grand Theft Auto V, The Last of Us… So when we say that Saints Row IV was amongst our personal favourites, you know it is a high compliment indeed. All week, the Saints Row team have been teasing a big announcement across social media. Today, their latest project was revealed. Not only is Saints Row IV getting upgraded to next-gen consoles, but all versions of the game will get receiving a full expansion entitled Gat Out of Hell. Here’s the trailer:
So the Boss gets abducted by Satan, who intends to wed him to his demonic daughter, whilst Johnny Gat must enter the afterlife and battle with Satan’s minions alongside Kinzie Kensington, in order to retrieve the Boss and save the day! The superpowers will be – of course – making a triumphant return. Having played the previous two DLC expansions, I really hope that Gat Out of Hell serves to be as broad in scope as Enter the Dominatrix was originally envisioned to be (containing new weapons, vehicles and clothing options), in order to fully justify its $19.99 asking price. The game promises a whole new city location (i.e. Hell itself), along with a host of new villains and potentially new powers (such as the ability to grow angelic wings).
