As a woman with (questionable) taste I enjoy video games for a multitude of reasons; story, pacing, fluidity of gameplay, characters, eye candy, how easy it is to enjoy a snack while playing, etc. And like any person who play games, male or female, the eye candy is a big part of my continued addiction. Now to be straightforward this list of hotties is based on a multitude of qualifiers and I know there will be considerable disagreements with me on a lot of my choices.

Now to be straightforward this list of hotties is based on a multitude of qualifiers and I know there will be considerable disagreements with me on a lot of my choices.
In no particular order, here is my list of the top five hottest hotties.
Solid Snake (A.K.A. Old Snake)
The Metal Gear Series
Now Solid Snake (who heretofore will be referred to as Snake) possesses a metric ton of sexy characteristics. For instance, the dude is crazy smart. I mean like too smart. The guy knows like six languages and is well versed in an arsenal of military fighting techniques. I mean its sort of a scary-sexy. I like smart dudes, sure. It's just part of who I am and Snake is smart… But he also is physically good looking. Snake looks like some sort of sexy lumberjack. He’s got the grizzled look nailed down. Dark hair, the mysterious aura, the quiet strength. It's all very alluring. I think a big factor in the sexiness of Snake is the fact that he’s seen some stuff and you can tell (and if you’ve played the games then you know that it is, in fact, a whole modern history of stuff). He’s got that broken thing about him that women often find alluring. I just wanna fix him, you know. Also he’s really physically fit, like crazy fit.
Nathan Drake
The Uncharted Series
What do you get when you mix the dashing good looks and humor of Malcolm Reynolds, the intelligence and bravado of Indiana Jones, and a tiny bit of that self-serving but ultimately greater good mentality that makes Tony Stark so irresistible? You get Nathan Drake. The dude is straight-up good looking. Like easily in my top five of sexy fellows in gaming (and it's mostly because I combined my top three fantasy encounters when describing him). Drake gallivants across the globe stirring up all kinds of trouble, initially for his own personal gains but ultimately he does the right thing (usually) which is just plain sexy. A well-traveled hottie is hard to look away from, and he has a way with women that reminds me very much of ol' Indy; get them to like your outward humour, get them into grave danger, get them to fall for you…And fall hard. I’ve fallen hard for you Nate, you handsome devil you.
Tidus
Final Fantasy X/X-2
So Tidus doesn’t really fall into my typical choice of dude, but I feel that he was kinda my first video game character crush. The dude is not my cup of tea as far as looks go, and he’s annoyingly whiny and self-centered, and incredibly oblivious! I mean what’s not to like… Am I right? But seriously for some reason I loved him. I think it had a lot to do with his vulnerability and honesty in the face of tough situations. He puts on a bravado and puts up walls and tries to laugh (sometimes awkwardly so) and act like things are fine, but at times of great distress he lets his feelings out. He was a genuinely good guy behind all the typical FF feminine looks and personality. Tidus was a big part of my life for a long time. I have played Final Fantasy X five times without beating it (don’t judge. Things happen to PS2s and save cards all the time… I had six siblings with a vendetta) so I’ve begun to sort of psychoanalyze his character and he really does have a boyish charm about him. He has these expectations and a naivety that are both endearing, and really sell the character's authenticity. But please, Tidus, shut your pretty little face next time you try to awkwardly laugh for Yuna’s sake.
Dante
The Devil May Cry Series
Roguish, handsome, funny, bad-ass. These are a few words I would say about our beloved Dante. Dante falls into the 'ripped but broken' category of video game dudes. He’s pretty good looking, even with white hair (which light hair is not my thing). He has a devilish grin (if you'll forgive the pun), a mischievous sense of humour and a firm grasp on shirtless fashion. The guy is meant to be on the precipice of 'so cool he’s almost a douche.' I mean he can be pretty unlikeable. Like Nate he always seems to be doing something for his own gain but like Nate, he also ultimately works out for the greater good. He’s a bounty hunter/private detective/half-human/half demon/shirtless dude. I don’t know what it is about Dante exactly. Maybe I have a thing for assholes who are secretly very sweet. I’ve played all of the original Devil May Cry series (DMC4 being my favourite because of the grabby arm thing Nero does and the bad-assery of the weapon called 'Lucifer') and I feel like it's time for replay so I can get more of a taste for the guy. I do love him and I’m sure he’s totally awesome in the DMC remake (which I own but have rage quit due to the freaky chainsaw arm guys) but my heart belongs to original Dante.
Alistair
The Dragon Age Series
My dear, sweet (literal) prince. Where do I even start? For me it's his personality. I mean like I’ve stated a funny guy just sort of melts me in weird ways. If a guy can make me laugh without repulsing me, he’s in.
Alistair has this kind of brutal and honest humor. He takes the vulgarity and brutality of the situation and tries to lighten it with a well-played joke. Part of me knows that it has to do with his desire to not deal with things, and that’s fine… Because Alistair also possesses the ability to be upfront and open with things when the time is right. He’s got this boyish blush about him that makes him so endearing and very real. He hasn’t known a life of war and suddenly everything is being laid on his shoulders during the events of the Fifth Blight. He has expectations that are brutally shattered by a horrifying reality, and he keeps on going despite the rude awakening. He develops into a character that both men and women alike can enjoy, because it’s a genuine development. He grows from a smug, bumbling recruit into the potential King of Ferelden.
I mean he commands a room and still stays sensitive. I cannot see a single thing wrong with him, he’s very human and to me that is more than enough to earn my respect and love. It was really tough choosing ONE dude from Dragon Age but ultimately I owe my loyalty to my video game husband. I mean I’m the queen of an entire war-torn country… And I gotta stand by my man.

Honorable mention goes out to my boy Cullen from Dragon Age : Origins, Dragon Age II, and Dragon Age : Inquisition, who is super good looking with some smoking cutscenes, but I could only choose one dude from Dragon Age as to not sound like some sort of Dragon Age fanatic…Which I totally am not. But it is like the best series ever. Just saying.
