As well as that, new mechanics are being implemented regarding the imperial side of things; your colonies now have the potential to form into small nations in themselves that, whilst still under your domain, will manage themselves from the day-to-day administration of a colony, to getting into wars with natives and other rival colonies, kind of like a glorified vassal. This may sound odd until I explain that it essentially means instead of the Thirteen Colonies being called "England", they'll be called "The Thirteen Colonies", much like in Empire: Total War.
Last but not least is perhaps the most intriguing and most exciting feature of them all; a random America. That's right, at the start of your game, you'll soon have the option to have the Americas be a randomly generated series of land masses. This might not be a good idea if you're starting in, let's say 1700, but if you're a hardcore "1492" kind of player, randomly created Americas means you too will be able to relive the excitement and intrigue of discovering a completely unknown land across the Atlantic. Will you find massive continents full of riches and natives, a series of lush islands, or absolutely nothing and simply end up in Indonesia? Nobody knows!
