We're already well into January 2015, more games will soon be upon us. There's a few I'm looking forward to this year and I'm sure there will be a few more to add to that list once summer arrives (along with E3). I have my own input on what I would like to see at this years E3 which I will cover in another article, but for now I'm gonna talk about some of the games that got announced last year and have still yet to be released. so here are the games I can't wait to get my hands on.

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected/Gat out of Hell

I had a blast playing Saints Row IV and for anyone who has played it will know why. It's crazy - my kind of crazy. There is plenty to do in the city of Steelport, places to visit and lots of things to keep yourself occupied with. The universe is set to get a new location with the separate expansion called Gat Out Of Hell. This expansion lets people play as one of the more favorable characters Gat and/or Kinzie Kensington, as you venture into the hellish world of New Hades in search of your boss who has been kidnapped by the Devil and forced into an arranged marriage. The expansion, and Saints Row IV : Re-Elected (for Xbox One and PlayStation 4) is out in just a few short days.

Mario Maker

It's a game within a game; a game where you can create your own side-scrolling Mario levels using a wide-array of tools at your disposal. whilst I don't own a Wii U console yet, it is just one of a few games I'm hoping to pick up when they release in the future and these sort of Mario games have been apart of my life since I was a kid, I think it's only right I try making my own levels, be they simple or challenging. I would like to see and hear more on this before it is released and hope there is more interesting features yet to be announced.
Mario Party 10

It feels like it was along time ago since I last played a decent Mario Party game. The last game I played in the series was Mario Party: Island Tour on Nintendo 3DS and, whilst I did enjoy the game, it was way too short and just didn't have that hook to keep me playing. I remember playing the very first entries in the series and being able to go around the board in an addictive and competitive experience collecting stars. Now I'm hoping that this latest entry will live up to the hype built up inside me wanting to play a decent Mario Party game, I'm looking forward most of all to trying some of the newer mini-games. Hopefully this will feel more like a classic Mario Party game, but refreshed for a new generation of console.
Splatoon

Another Wii U exclusive Splatoon looks like a crazy, wacky experience that also looks very fun to play, both online and offline. The game is also receiving some attention because it doesn't fall in line with the typical Nintendo project. I would imagine if there is a story element to this game, the focus will be to take back an enemy stronghold by painting the area which could be fun or it could be you have to defend against bots. This is one game that I have been psyched about since its was announced. I think it's also a game that stands a chance of helping the Wii U sales increase.
Halo 5: Guardians

The Halo franchise has been one of those series I've really enjoyed. A few people weren't too keen on Halo 4's story direction, but given that it was a continuation of the events set up in Halo 3 (where everything seemed to have been tied up story-wise), it was definitely a fresh change of direction. The Spartan Ops story, which was set some six months after Halo 4 ended, will most likely influence the narrative of Halo 5. But, judging from the 'Guardians' subtitle, and the images we've seen so far, there will be a very heavy emphasis on the online play. Usually this component had been separate from campaign modes in the past, but with games such as TitanFall and Destiny now taking center stage in the FPS market, you can bet that 343 Studios will want to get in and remind everyone which franchise rocketed FPS's back into the mainstream all of those years ago. If you've played Halo 2: Anniversary you can gather from the new cutscenes added that agent Locke (or Spartan Locke), the main character from The Halo: Nightfall series, will play a prominent role in tracking down the Master Chief, who seems to have gone off the grid by the beginning of Halo 5.
Rise of the Tomb Raider

A sequel to the rebooted Tomb Raider was always going to be highly anticipated. One trailer has been released that shows very little, but just enough to wet our appetites. We know a that Microsoft have some exclusive rights to this game, at least at first (for Christmas time this year, more specifically).
The sequel will most likely see Lara break into her titular role, as opposed to just her survival (as was the first game's central theme). We are teased ruins in the trailer, meaning that the location of Rise of the Tomb Raider will most likely see Lara move to more traditional Tomb Raider settings, falling in line with what the Uncharted series went on to embrace.

2015 is holding nothing back when it comes to releasing highly sought-after games, and we'll be putting together another list of titles we can't wait to get out hands on.
