Kyrat - A Traveller's Guide

Stuck on what to do in Kyrat? Wondering how to get the most out of the gorgeous scenery? And are you just a little bit tired of the constant bickering between Sabal and Amita? Perturbed perhaps because you always stumble across a group of Royal Army soldiers and feel it necessary to go on a rampage in the name of your late mother's ashes. Well then, fear not because do we have the list for you - a few things you can try just to reveal in the rich world Ubisoft created for Far Cry 4.

Exotic Wildlife Hunting!

With the wildlife pretty much attacking you on-sight anyway, animal hunting is pretty inevitable.

Kyrat seems to have it all - tigers, rhinos, leopards and wolves; even the infamous honey badger is also amongst it's more ferocious animal occupants. With specific animals locked to certain regions within Kyrat, going on a wild animal hunt is a great way to take in the scenery. Plus, with the more deadly creatures, it might be wise to bring a friend so you can use them as bait. I mean... So you can have a greater chance of tackling the beasts and not dying terribly. Your local mapmakers in Kyrat have generously detailed the rough locations and whereabouts of the different times of wildlife available for you to track, but although technology might be on your side - never underestimate your prey.

Sight-Seeing!

But Kyrat is just full of trees and mountains you cry! Partly true, I reply, but have you gone off the beaten path and truly explored, then? There are some really gorgeous things to see if you just let yourself wonder a little. Kyrat has numerous temples, remote villages and more photographic scenery than you can shake a stick at. It is a game made for photo-mode (and luckily it does have one, in a sense).

Partake in Shanath Arena!

Want to get a sense of what the Kryati people like to do in their spare time? Then just go a few rounds in Shanath Arena. With wave-based challenges, it will pit you against various enemies with your goal to earn as many points as possible. Kyrati people like to watch people pitted against each other in gladiatorial style combat, who knew?

Visit Shangri-La

Yes, it might be the place of legend, but that doesn't stop Far Cry 4 from letting you set foot in the place. Do the optional Shangri-La missions, sit back and enjoy the beauty. It is worth it, that is all.

Helping the locals (or not)!

The Kyrati people are just bursting with things for you to get involved in. From menial tasks to helping to clear outposts and capture forts, there isn't a shortage of things for you to help them with. Or you could not help them at all and just throw rocks at them to mess with them instead... whichever works.

Always remember to stick to the Golden Path!

On behalf of the people of Kyrat we would like to wish you and your elephant a pleasant stay with us here amongst the Himalayas, unless of course you are a supporter of Pagan Min - in which case you can expect vengeance for all of our missing relatives over the coming days.

Please remember not to antagonise the monks at the local temples. Thank you.
