The headline pretty much says it all really. During a Metrocon 2015 panel the voice of Uncharted series hero Nathan Drake explained, when asked whether he had any more projects at Naughty Dog, “Not yet, I know they’re doing The Last of Us 2”. As with any information regarding sequels or anything about gaming in general it’s always best to take it with a pinch of salt.

Creative Director Neil Druckmann said last February there was a 50/50 chance of a sequel being made, "We have started brainstorming some stuff. To be honest, some of them are sequel ideas, and some of them are brand new IP - we've spent the last few weeks brainstorming new IP."
Oddly enough though lead actor for The Last of Us Troy Baker knows nothing of a sequel being made, "I know nothing. I don't know if we're gonna do another one or not.”
Hopefully there will be some form of official confirmation from either Naughty Dog or Sony with regards to The Last of Us 2. It certainly was a popular game so a sequel makes sense however, while the story of the first game was left somewhat open ended I’m not sure what I would like to see from the continuation of Joel and Ellie’s story.

Hopefully we'll see more of this project come out over the course of the year, although we know Uncharted 4 will be taking up much of Naughty Dog's time between now and then. Expect the sequel to The Last of Us to follow it though!
