By Jamie Kennett Rockstar Games has sent us all another little present in the run-up to GTA V; they have just released a pair of artworks for the game, which is set to arrive in stores on the 17th of September. The two artworks, collectively called Cash and Carry, respectively depict two of the three playable characters in the game; veteran bank robber Michael and semi-legitimate repo man Franklin. Franklin is in the midst of a police chase down in the famous Los Angeles River (no doubt called the Los Santos River in-game), the site of many a classic car chase in the movies. Riding the Sanchez dirt-bike we’ve all come to love since its introduction in Vice City, it’s possible Franklin could be making his escape from a robbery he has just conducted, given the duffel bag slung over his back. Michael, on the other hand, has opted for a more leisurely means of escape, and is seen blasting around in the ocean just off of the Del Perro pier (GTA V’s take on the Santa Monica pier in real-life L.A.) in a jet-ski called the Speedophile 2000; a name that serves as a classic example of the series’ tongue-in-cheek humour. These two artworks serve as a tiny taste of the kinds of things we’re no-doubt going to be up to when the game is released this autumn.
