The wacky combination of over-the-top humor, FPS gameplay and RPG leveling system has made Borderlands one of the more recognised modern titles worldwide. It is therefore no surprise that Gearbox Software has finally begun production of 'the big one', likely to be the long awaited Borderlands 3, for current gen systems.

It is therefore no surprise that Gearbox Software has finally begun production of 'the big one', likely to be the long awaited Borderlands 3, for current gen systems.
AND THEY'RE HIRING!
Gamespot is reporting that the developer is looking for new talent to join the team, following a tweet from by Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford. It read: 'We are recruiting for next Borderlands. This is the big one. Industry badass? E-mail me: [email protected]. We want to hear from passionate and talented people to help us with next Borderlands game. Check our website!' He continued with emphasising his desire to 'meet great artists, designers, coders, producers and other developers' to work on the AAA title.
Details of more specific roles expect to be revealed soon, although from their promotional image Gearbox look to be hiring a fair few new recruits to join the development. Meanwhile, their most recent title, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, will be receiving campaign DLC where the player will be stuck in the mind of Claptrap as well as new character DLC (the latter of which will be available later this week).
