So our love affair with the best cinema around continues this week. Do I need to explain to you how epic this cinematic place of worship, no I don’t? We strongly advise that you not only drop everything you are doing this weekend, but you just move. Heck, pack up everything, become a nomad and don’t miss out on all the treats in to at The Ritz in Lincoln. This is one of THE best nationwide cinemas!
Because if Ritz had a day for you, (and they have several) they’d make that day, shiny and new. So why not go where fashion sits? And let’s see what they are putting on at The Ritz!

Road Train, the 2010 Australian horror film (known as Road Kill in the US), is one of the most baffling, bizarre examples of horror cinema I have encountered in many years. Which is what makes it so fun to watch. It’s basically the story of a demon truck possessing people, what more could you want?
David O Russell. Well, there’s a name that fills your mouth with some black tarred marmite. You either love him or hate him (and judging by how this introduction is going, you can guess what side of the thick pool I am on.) Though O Russell may have his detractors, there is no denying he has delighted some critics and audiences with his impressive movies such as Silver Linings Playbook and Three Kings. This year was no different, seeing his brilliant heist movie American Hustle scoop up awards and nominations. But many hated it, think it was boring and bland, happily lauding over it when it left the Oscars empty handed.
Here Robbie and Paul battle it out. Are you For or Against American Hustle?

France has produced a lot of drama films such as Le Piscine and Amour. Their drama and our drama are often billed as parallel lines, never meeting. This isn’t the case. After all, despite cultural influence, at the very crux of humanity is wild drama firing inside all of us. Alex Walker’s Fossil comes lauded as reminiscent of French classic thrillers and such. Though the connotations are there, it seems wrong to truly tar it this way, when it fact it is a brilliant exercise in human excavation…
