The first teaser trailer for Love, Rosie is here, and it involves a pretty awkward condom related accident. Lily Collins stars in the main role as Rosie Dunn, in this adaptation of Cecelia Ahern’s novel, Where Rainbows End, alongside Sam Claflin, whose recent appearance include The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (in which he portrayed Finnick Odair). Claflin portrays Alex, who is Rosie’s best friend, who suddenly moves away to America with his family, leaving Rosie alone in Dublin. As expected, the film documents their changing relationship through new circumstances, new loves and all the sort of problems you might encounter with a long distance friendship. However, will Rosie and Alex end up together, as something more than friends?
Well, the first teaser doesn’t really offer much clarity on that aspect, as it features a humorous encounter between Rosie and Greg (portrayed by Christian Cooke), as the latter struggles to put on a condom properly, and well, let’s just say – it doesn’t end well for Rosie, in any respect. With the quirky 1975’s Chocolate accompanying the trailer, it certainly adds a more upbeat tone to what is a quite awkward situation. After starring in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones last year, Love, Rosie marks a different turn in roles for the actress, albeit one with still romantic undertones.
