By making a change to a not-for-profit community Interest Company it means they can fully promote the films they really believe in and keep the festival as accessible as possible. Not forgetting how beneficially this will be to the local community. This great change will certainly benefit the people who enter, yet such a change can not come about without financial strain. Albeit, this is for the best and still has their main interests at heart. So like many people who need to raise money quickly, East End Film Festival have started a campaign on Kickstarter. The money donated through Kickstarted will go towards ensuring this festival will be the very best it can be. After all putting on such events are pretty costly and to make such an event accessible to all - what better way than to raise some well earn't cash. Anything raised will go towards youth workshops, free outdoor screenings, free art exhibits and all the important paperwork like legals fees, insurance and hiring of projectors. Take the time to see what it's all about and check out their page.
Whether it's simply sharing the link or giving them as little as £1, everything will help East End Film Festival give us something quite special for the independent film industry. The festival will run for 13 days from Friday 13th June till Wednesday 25th June, 2014.
