As far as plot goes, this trailer tells us very little. There’s a line about Bill Nighy wanting to marry Judi Dench, and then it seems that the Slumdog Millionaire guy gets married, but the rest of it is just another one of those trailers that plays light hearted music to random clips of the film.
It doesn’t necessarily look bad, but it’s not exactly a much needed sequel. The trailer isn’t very tempting nor is it off putting, although this is only the first trailer so there’s plenty of time for that. Fans of the first are sure to watch this regardless, but can it be anywhere near as good? The first film was so original and heartfelt that it was impossible not to enjoy, and with everything looking a little bit the same, can it be done twice in a row?
