A massive wave of emotions that you can actually SEE instead of just read. This is definitely the case for The Fault in our Stars, a film based on the award winning book by none other than American author John Green (Looking for Alaska, Paper Towns.)
The first official trailer was released for the film today. The film itself follows the tragic love story of Hazel Grace (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort) who meet at a Cancer support group and quickly fall heads over heels in love. But of course with such a life-threatening illness, love is extremely hard for the both of them, despite ‘Gus’ being in remission. Gus tries extremely hard to persuade Hazel to let him into her life, as she is taken with the notion that she is a dangerous grenade that could destroy everything in seconds. However unable to hold back her feelings their relationship blossoms into something truly beautiful.
Just by looking at the trailer, you can tell that it will be filled with as just as much emotion as when reading the book (if you haven’t read it, I greatly recommend it) and despite early mumbles and grumbles about the casting any negative comments should be taken back. Both Shailene and Ansel look great in their roles and this is certainly not a film you should miss!
Okay? Okay.
