Blah, blah, blah - Nicolas Sparks, blah! Get me a blanket to hide behind and a bucket to throw up in. For some reason the general populous can't get enough of soppy, ready love stories. Why? Just why? Where is the originality? Or at least a different stance would be refreshing.
The story goes like so...Amanda and Dawson were high school sweethearts and low and behold their paths were torn apart as they grew older. After many years away from each other they encounter one another again on a chance outing to their old hometown. Happily ever after - you get the picture! We have the react True Detective's Michelle Monaghan as Amanda and perhaps a treat to the eyes in the form of Janes Marsden as the ruged Dawson. We also see new comers Liana Liberato and Luke Bracey as the younger couple. From what is shown here it appears to be the same old drip drab as any Nick Sparks screen adaptation we have previously witnessed. It seems not even Cyclops and save this one!
Coming to cinemas 15th October, 2014, if you like emotionally fuelled films that have the same narrative set to play on repeat, then maybe you should see it. If not steer clear. Check out the trailer and see for yourself. Is this anything we haven't seen before?
