Imagine a mash up of Tarzan and Avatar and you are heading in the right direction. Yes, this lasted adaptation of Tarzan involves aliens. When the meteors crashed onto the earth during the Jurassic period they bring with them a substance extremely powerful. One small rock could power the east coast of America for a month. It’s Tarzan’s job, with the help of (blond) Jane, to stop the big corporation Greystoke Energies from destroying his home in order to access this power source.
The cast includes Kellan Lutz (Twilight) as Tarzan and Spencer Locke (Resident Evil) as Jane. Lutz seems to be nothing compared to the pure awesomeness of Weissmüller.
It’s meant to look like a very realistic yet animated film, however the CGI and motion capture just looks rather out of place and peculiar. Perhaps that is just me clinging onto my love for old animation. But I am a complete sucker for original films and I dislike the fact that they have changed the plot so much. Tarzan has always been a film that is very animalistic and wild, and bringing aliens into that mix will more than likely spell disaster.
I don’t really have anything positive to say about this so let’s just leave it at that.
