A dashingly handsome man, with unspeakable charm and a dreamy moustache who's on the run from angry Russians, territory's, Mi5 and constant phone calls from his wife - who better to play such a man than Johnny Depp?
Reprising a kind of Don Juan role, Depp plays debonair art dealer and part time rogue Charlie Mortdecai. After hearing about a stolen painting that is supposedly linked to a lost bank account full of Nazi gold - jackpot. He has to charm his way through (which it appears he does brilliantly) in order to get his hands on this incredible prize. From what we see here with outstanding cast for this one, it looks to be a right hoot. We have the likes of Ewan McGregor, Jeff Goldberg and Paul Bettany. In the ladies corner we have Gwyneth Paltrow who plays Mortdecai's leggy wife alongside the lovely Olivia Mann. Directed by David Koepp who has previously worked with Depp on Secret Window back in 2004 and was responsible for the hilarious Gervais in Ghost Town, this certainly doesn't seem to be short of laughs.
Expected to be released 30th January 2015, Mortdecai looks fun, clever and full of adventure. After all who could turn down Depp running across the globe frantically after a painting?
