Snow does love his speeches and seems to genuinely believe in what he is saying. Of course, having lived in the Capitol all these years will not have alerted him to quite how dire the situation is in the Districts, and why would he care? He has a great, all powerful job and is rich. As with the posters that were recently released about the Districts, he spins a positive, martyred light on the sacrifices of those around him. This time, Snow has more lackeys’ flanking him, including the poor baker, Peeta, who stares unflinchingly into the camera.
The most exciting part of the trailer comes towards the end. Throughout, it is possible to hear some static and background noise over Snow and eventually the picture cuts out and … well, you’ll just have to watch and find out! Katniss still has not been seen in any of these trailers but she is mentioned, very briefly, to strike fear into to those who oppose her. Mockingjay was, in many people’s opinion, the worst book in the trilogy as it felt rushed and they wanted more. Splitting the film into two features will mean that more time will be spent on the story and the audience will get what they wanted from the start. This trailer looks highly promising and sets the atmosphere for the next instalment. This will have a whole new feel to it than the first two films, which will seem like a doddle when Mockingjay Part 1 finally hits the big screen. It gets bigger, better and more action packed; but are you ready?
