Acting beside the famously nasty Jolie we have Elle Fanning as the serene, innocent Princess Aurora that Maleficent places under an evil curse. 'Behind the kiss lies the story of Maleficent' and boy does Angelina fit the bill as the powerhouse of a witch that is the menacing Maleficent. Alongside this rather sinister teaser, award winning vocalist Lana Del Ray gives an eerily slow downbeat rendition of 'Once Upon a Dream' which works seamlessly with the clips that are shown. Something else that deserves a mention are the effects we get a glimpse of. Fairies, magic, evil and cheek bones, this certainly isn't short of some killer effects. The wait is already feeling like a long one until the films expected release in May. With a supporting cast of Juno Temple, Sharlto Copley and the newest addition to the Doctor Who franchise, Peter Capaldi it looks as if this one is set to impress. Get ready for a darker fairytale that will take you deep into the forest.
Calling all Disney fans and indeed Angelina Jolie fans - a new Maleficent trailer has come to our attention. This is by far the creepiest trailer yet showing just how dark Disney can be thanks to director Robert Stromberg known mainly for his work on visual effects for such films as The Hunger Games and The Golden Compass. Maleficent re-tells the famous story of 'Sleeping Beauty', or formally known as La Belle all bois dormant; 'The Beauty Sleeping in the Wood' first penned by French writer Charles Perrault. Of course we all know the story of this one thanks to Disney but here writers Paul Dini and Linda Woolverton plus others have taken on the task of telling the tale from the point of view of the villainous Maleficent.
