From what we can see from these teaser clips it appears this mainly theatre trained cast can certainly hold their own. This feature tells the story of four young men who happened to come together and form the iconic 60’s Rock n Roll group, The Four Seasons’. Considering the director refused to use any Hollywood stars, this Tony-Award winning musical has lent some stars to the screen. Returning to his starring role as singer Franki Valli is Broadway’s John Lloyd Young. The film also stars Michael Lorenda and Vincent Piazza as other band members, Nick Massi and Tommy Devito. Acting alongside the band is the talented Christopher Walken as tough mobster Gyp DeCario.
The clips given to us don’t give us much, but they do leave us wanting more. The first clip ‘It’s a Sign’, interestingly gives us an insight into how they finally came to a decision to finally name their band.
This musical biography hits cinemas this Friday, 20th June. Take a look at these clips and get in the mood for some cracking rock n roll tunes.
