The World’s End is a comedy first, but it might be the closest to Pegg giving a dramatic performance we’ve ever seen, as evidenced by the film’s last half hour. If that’s anything to go by, then we should be in for a treat as he takes on a role that might appear comedic on the outside, but once the film comes out, will be as serious as it gets. The films looks fantastic; a perfect mixture of humour and emotion, with a great cast to boot, including Rosamund Pike, Toni Collette, Stellan Skarsgard and Christopher Plummer.
Hector and the Search for Happiness is out in September, and it looks like the comedy drama you don’t want to miss this year.
